Fredrikstad FK starts the season with a head-to-head match against last year's bronze medalist, Tromsø IL. The match is played at Romssa Arena on Sunday evening. In the previous round of the Cup, both teams were in action. While we had a dream start to the season with a win over Sarpsborg 08 in the NM, Tromsø had a tough start. Their opponent in the quarterfinals of the NM, KFUM, played an eighth-final match and had to say goodbye to their dream of playing at Ullevaal on Ekeberg. Tromsø lost 2-1 to KFUM, who we will meet in the quarterfinals of the NM on Thursday after the start of the season. After the start of the season, it's home to prepare for two matches with KFUM – one in the NM and one in the Eliteserien. On Thursday, March 19th at 6:00 PM, we will play a quarterfinal match on Ekeberg – against the very same team that knocked out our opponent in the NM. KFUM stands between us and a semifinal in the NM. And not enough that we meet them on Thursday, three days later it's 'on again.' On Sunday, March 22nd, we have our home premiere in the Eliteserien, when we host KFUM at Stadion. We hope to have over 10,000 spectators at this match, and have been sponsored with 1,500 tickets for Østfold Fotballkrets's younger teams.
