Local newspaper Fredriksstad Blad reports on Saturday evening that they have sources indicating that Andreas Hagen is finished as head coach of Fredrikstad Fotballklubb. This has not been confirmed by the club itself. Just hours earlier, Hagen led FFK to their first win since April 7, beating HamKam 2-1. However, the joy appears to have been short-lived. According to the newspaper, Hagen was informed that he was finished with the club shortly after the match ended. The information is said to be confirmed by several sources. FFK has not commented on the matter yet. Fredrikstad has had a tough start to the season with ten points in the first nine games. Hagen joined the FFK system around the end of 2022 as an assistant to Mikkjal Thomassen. When Thomassen left for AIK in the summer of 2024, Hagen took over temporarily before getting the job on a full-time basis in October 2024. Hagen led FFK to a cup title at Ullevaal, and the team finished eighth in Eliteserien last season.
