Fredrikstad FK let a win slip away with a late red card in a 1-1 draw away to Vålerenga on Sunday. Isak Helstad Amundsen was shown a straight red in the 82nd minute for a tackle on Mathias Grundetjern just outside the box, a decision confirmed by the VAR.

Fredrikstad had taken the lead early in the second half when Solomon Owusu placed a long-range shot into the far corner. But down to ten men, they could not hold on. Vålerenga equalised from a corner as Sebastian Jarl found himself in the right position in the box.
The draw means Fredrikstad remain seventh in the Eliteserien with 27 points. The team now has two draws and a loss in its last three matches, a run of form they will aim to correct when they host Tromsø on October 11th.
